Construction Information

Artel Motorsport hoses all have a distinctive layer of black silicone liner on the inside of each hose. The liner is the most important part of the hose as it forms the water tight barrier that prevents the hose from leaking. The outer surface is smooth and rich in colour with a high gloss finish which is easy to keep clean.

All colours and polyester reinforced hoses have the following construction details: -

Meaning of headings

Diameter
The size of the hole inside the hose.

Liner
The protective waterproof barrier for reliability.

Plies
How many layers of fabric reinforcement which defines the strength of the hose.

Elbows and Straights Wall thickness
The thickness of the hose wall.

Burst
Burst pressures are rated in P.S.I. and BAR.

Max temperature
The temperature that the hose will take before sustaining any damage.
